They are not counted because I am comparing Floyd fighting an opponent of Clottey's Caliber... go ahead throw in May vs Marquez (1 mill) then i'll throw in Pac vs Cotto (1.25 mill).

Cotto is a bigger draw than Marquez.

Why not compare Mayweather vs Marquez/De La Hoya against Pacquiao vs Marquez/De La Hoya? Because That proves Mayweather is a bigger draw right? Carry on picking and choosing numbers all you want, but it's obvious that Mayweather is a bigger draw.

They wouldn't have gotten it easy but they certainly could have gotten due to the promotion machine that is used to promote a floyd or manny fight. Think about it do you think that Pac vs Clottey did that well sbecause Clottey or Pac is that extremely popular? No way, Pac is very popular don't get me wrong but not 51,000 selling out a stadium by himself poplular the way how they promoted the fight ( promised a war, hyped Clottey to be this big welterweight beast), the cowboys stadium itself etc all played the biggest role especially the cowboys stadium. You can look back to the nba allstar game that was held there. This allstar game wasn't different or better than the previous ones, the main factor was 1.2 billion dollars stadium which was the selling point and got them 100,00 people there.

If it was the fraud and clottey who were in it, after just 2 rounds the people would have been throwing bottles inside the ring and left in disgust.

I wouldn't even doubt there's going to be a riot from the viewing public demanding a refund of their tickets.

I agree, but Pac fans are willing to accept anything.

Because Pac did his best to entertain even lampley helped but clottey decided to just encash his check he thought he can cash some more later on.

So how can you blame him?

I take it you haven't read the question that was originally posted. Who would have more PPV buys Vs. Clottey? Pac or May?
Just looking over the History of fights that Mayweather has had against fighters who have NEVER been on a PPV (Baldomir and Judah) Once again Marquez and DLH are Elite PPV fighters...unlike a Clottey.. if you add Marquez ..the cotto fight wins..and if you add DLH.. Oscar was clearly the Bigger draw... No where in the last Several years has Manny not been the bigger draw in a fight even versus De la Hoya..the crowd was Pro- Pacquiao .... i remember the crowd screaming bull**** after the floyd vs DLH fight....Prove me wrong with Facts not just foolish statements.

You're a moron if the crowd came to support Mayweather or not they were still there to watch Mayweather fight.

Mayweather's PPVs with Hatton, Marquez, De La Hoya all sold more than Pacquiaos. FACT

You said you was comparing similar caliber opponents, you can't get more similar than the same opponents can you?

Marquez only became big because of Pacquiao.. and he carried that success and elevated it by beating Juan Diaz. If you take Pacquiao out of the picture, that win over diaz(if he could have even gotten the fight without Pacquiao) wouldn't have meant anything, and he'd still be a nobody-just like the days when all eyes were on barrera and morales. And De La Hoya-Pacquiao seemed like a mismatched circus fight.. the majority of people didn't even take it seriously because De La Hoya always historically comes in big, and always historically outboxes small fighters, plus Pacquiao was a featherweight..

Even I thought it was a circus fight.. I thought on fight night De La Hoya would be 20 pounds heavier than Pacquiao and would use his reach, size and boxing skill to dominate him.

And let's not forget how Pacquiao's popularity and draw is growing every single year, every single fight.. while floyd's draw and popularity seems to have hit its peak against De La Hoya. So to compare Mayweather-Marquez to Pacquiao Marquez is just ignorant.

This month alone I've seen Pacquiao on Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel, America's best dance crew and MTV cribs... I've only seen Floyd at the Super Bowl.
