A title doubleheader scheduled for March 26 in Las Vegas has been postponed after contractual differences arose between promoter Don King and ESPN.
Steve Cunningham was supposed to fight Matt Godfrey for the vacant IBF cruiserweight title at the Treasure Island Casino, with Cory Spinks defending his IBF junior middleweight belt against Cornelius Bundrage in the co-main event.
King spokesman Alan Hopper said Wednesday that negotiations to televise the doubleheader on ESPN's "Friday Night Fights" fell apart, forcing the event to be postponed.
King won a purse bid for Cunningham-Godrey in December, and has requested an extension from the sanctioning body so he can work out another date for the fight.
