Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao Puts on a Masterful Performance in Texas

Manny Pacquiao cemented his stature as pound-for-pound king and “Fighter of the Decade” with a masterful performance against Ghana’s Joshua “Grandmaster” Clottey before a crowd of almost 51,000 fight fans who savored the clinical demolition of the resilient former world champion as much as they imbibed the fantastic atmosphere at Jerry Jones’ $1.2 billion Dallas Cowboys Stadium. I was very disappointed with the performance Clottey put on. I won't take anything away from Pacquiao because he did what he was suppose to do against a stationary target, hit it. The only thing I felt Clottey was trying to do after the 5th round was prove to everyone that Pacquiao couldn't knock him out. The most pathetic thing that puzzles me about Clottey though is when he actually let his hands go he landed without any problems. I can't understand why he didn't take more chances. Last night was Manny's night and not Clottey's.

Pacman should beat Floyd now.Pacman is more comfortable with his weight now.His strong non stop stamina, quicker, stronger hands & relentless attack & pressure than Floyd will be too much for him.Floyd's reflex is not the same.I won't be surprise if Mosley beat him as Mosley is really hungry wanting that big paycheck against Manny.

                "the boring event"

The entire show was boring. I couldn't keep any of the 29 people at my house entertained with that POS fight. Yes we all knew Pac would win. I mean come the **** on, its Clottey. Who EVERYONE knew cant pull a trigger......

It was **** under cards, **** main event. The best part about it all was listening to the HBO commentary Jim Lampley say BOOM over and over and even that got disstrubing. Someone asked "why the **** does he keep saying that"?

                So disappointed in boxing.

UFC® 111 ST-PIERRE vs HARDY is going to be something to watch. UFC is actually entertaining. Im not a huge MMA fan but for **** sake $60 bucks for that garbage last night is the reason NOBODY gives a **** about the sport.

Joshua Clottey and Floyd Mayweather are 2 totally different fighters. Mayweather's speed and confidence in hitting opposition is on a different level than Clottey's. How do ou figure Floyd's reflex's are not the same? Have you seen him hit with a bunch of flush shots? Remember, Floyd won't stand in the middle of a ring and be used as a punching bag. In fact, haveyou ever seen Mayweather show up out of shape for a fight and take excessive punishment? Even Roach says, Mayweather not only runs but he sets you up to counter you. Clottey fought like a real fool last night. Remember, if Clottey with his piss poor performance could lay hands on Manny, what do you think a fighter like Mayweather would do?
