People's response in this section shows that people will hate no matter what he does. If he donates money to charity, people will say ''He's rich that's what he is supposed to do''. he fights Mosley people say ''He was backed into a corner''. He gives words of encouragment to a young fighter ''Who the **** is he to say such things''. If he saved a bunch of orphans from a burning building people would ***** about him not saving the pups.

Someone like Mayweather showing his confidence in a youth will act as encouragement.

If Fraizer said to someone ''I'll pass the torch on to you'', it'd be ****ing ****** to say ''You have no business passing on a torch, Ali is a greater fighter''.

Yeah i thought Chad Dawson had the Torch now... I guess passing the Torch is back to being like the Olympics, where everyday there is a new Holder. The Fight with Urango proved that Alexander was a legit Champioin, but did anyone feel Juan had a chance to win? At work i couldnt find anyone to bet on Urango and pretty much everyone thought it would be an easy Decision Victory for Alexander. The Fight actually proved much closer(while it lasted) than we expected but the KnockOut was a nice surprise. I think Alexander will be a Good Champion, but hard to say he will be the Future of Boxing. Besides, this mythical Torch might not even Belong to Floyd anymore since Manny has took that Mother***er and will KnockOut any Bastard who dares challenge him. Unless of course we are talking about a mythical American Torch that can be only passed to Americans, and has to be friends of Floyd Mayweather, and has to be from the Midwest lol. Those Guys in Mayweathers camp are always saying some wild, wacky stuff and i wonder if those Olympic Style Drug Testing includes Cannabis since the Mayweathers are smoking some good Chit. I guess Mayweather claiming to be able to beat everybody without having to fight them has Payed off and i hope neither Mayweather or Alexander burns themselves with the Torch they are Passing.

I never heard how it went or anything though....I personally think that Devon is a very good technical boxer and has some pop and speed. The thing that concerns me is that Urango was finding him a bit too much for my liking. In the early rounds, Devon was slipping shots, and actually was in the pocket dodging shots. But during the middle rounds, Urango couldn't miss with the right hook. So, he is good and has what it takes to become great as his career progresses, but he has to continue to get better and stay focused and work on his craft.
not really. people have focused way to much on how urango was so call finding him with the right hand. urango ONLY found the right hand in the 3rd and in the "sixth" the sixth is when he started to throw all sorts of punches behind his right hand. people totally ignore that devon made an adjustment which almost took urangos right hand away from him totally. also, people REFUSE to acknowledge that if devon fought too defensively and avoided the right hand all together it would have been a boring fight and we wouldn't have seen a knock out, we also wouldn't have seen what great chin devon has. devon is a young boy so i agree that there is MUUUUUUCH room for improvement. i will say that he looks freakishly impressive @ barely 23 years of age.

As I was reading these post I thought the same thing. Mayweather can't say anything without generating these childish responses.

I could swear Money said he "passed the torch" to Berto before the Hatton or ODLH fight. I remember seeing that on Youtube at a press conference for one of those fights.

that would be wrong. mayweather never said anything about passing a torch to another fighter up in till now. floyd sr actually dissed berto claiming that he was a bum and couldn't take body shots.
