The reason I use to think Mosley was the toughest fight out there for Mayweather is because he employs the hold and explode. Where he'll clinch and then explode into combination. That's probably the best way to break Mayweather's shoulder roll other than going southpaw.

I can see Mosley putting on enough pressure and landing enough body shots to be able to smother Mayweather for the second half of the fight and taking a decision. Making Mayweather look as vulnerable as he did against JLC.

I'm not actually backing Mosley against Mayweather, but it's off base to dismiss a fighter the level of Mosley because he lost to Cotto. ****m might not be able to take away some of the habitual mistakes, but he will be able to give Mosley a great gameplan to follow from round 1.

It's gonna be a different look for Floyd as far as the hold and explode goes, but there are a certain amount of ring smarts and techniques(some call it being ring savy) that can be employed by Floyd to counter that most of them involve timing which is one of Floyd's strongest assets that he brings to the ring.

You mention Shane switching southpaw, I wouldn't advise Shane to do that because it is the natural southpaw that gives Floyd some problems not your unconventional southpaws which Shane would become if he decided to switch(besides that would ruin Shane's balance and he needs all of the balance he can get dealing with Floyd).

Floyd usually takes anywhere between round 1-4 to figure out his opponent, after that he adapts and begins to shift the fight in the direction that he feels comfortable dictating, which bodes bad for Shane as he doesnt adjust very well in any of his fights. Floyd looks for the same thing that Freddie looks for when he's breaking down film for Manny....habits. Floyd finds these habits during the course of the bout(And he doesnt for the most part need Roger in order to spot them, If you look at Floyd's fights Roger barely has to tell Floyd what adjustments to make, because Floyd usually sees them and makes them on his own).

In the first JLC fight Floyd basically fought with one arm. So I dont use that fight as a berometer, I look at the second JLC fight because he claimed to be closer to 100% health wise, than he was for the 1st fight. He won in a more dominant fashion in the 2nd fight and it was an immediate rematch without a clause for one in the 1st fight contract.

I say all of that to get to this point here. If Floyd doesnt have Roger in his corner, we can for the most predict that Floyd will fight the same way he always has(Thats not to say he dosn't need Roger, but that he can operate without him). If Shane dosn't have ****m, we wont be able to say the same. Because Shane wont be the same.

skills usually win fights but in alot of cases skill alone isnt enough if the boxer with skill has no heart, it enables the boxer who is a puncher with heart and determination to prevail.so skill is mostly affective when a boxer has both heart and boxing skills.i dont like mayweather and i hope he loses but he might win because mosley is old now,but anything can happen in boxing,hes still strong and smart enough to give gayweather trouble.but i doubt he wins this fight,because it 10 years too late.
