I am learning a lot here. I knew Pacquiao ducked African-American fighters, I didn't know the ducking delved this deep. Great thread.

It went like this, Pacquiao chose to fight Barrera in a pointless rematch instead of Guzman when he was the #1 option. But don't take my word for it, take Filipino writer Ray Luarca's:

GEN. SANTOS CITY, Philippines—A fight against Joan Guzman sounds right for Manny Pacquiao. But the unbeaten fighter from the Dominican Republic has to wait until October before getting a crack against the Filipino ring icon.

“He (Guzman) is okay with me,” said Pacquiao in Filipino yesterday at his P38-million mansion here. “That would be a good fight.”

Top Rank top honcho Bob Arum, who is here to provide moral support for Pacquiao’s congressional bid, had earlier named Guzman as the No. 1 prospect among Pacquiao’s possible opponents.

Pacquiao, however, feels he will need at least three months’ rest after the elections before plunging back into training.

“I’ll be ready by October,” he said. “September is too close.”

Guzman went so far as to interrupt the Pacquiao-Barrera post fight press conference.
I got it now. I have scripts blocked here so I didn't see your signature.

Great information you have there in bold.

How did Barrera do against JMM in a fight before? Didn't some people feel he beat JMM. And, wasn't Barrera also ranked higher than Guzman at the time? If Pac ducked anybody at the time. It was JMM. Because, he should of fought JMM before fighting Barrera. And, Guzman edged out a decision against Soto that he did not look good in. And, is one reason why it was hard for Guzman to get another HBO date after that fight.

Edit: Matter of fact by the time Pac fought Barrera in the rematch had Guzman even fought Soto yet?

Murad Muhammad aside, as I have little interest in what he has to say, there's two African AMerican fighters Pac undoubtedly ducked. Sugar Shane Mosely, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. I'd add Raheem to the mix, but the above names should suffice.

He just said what we all have been saying about Pac and his team. Pac is being protected and his team doesn't want Mayweather to expose him until they no longer can make millions off Pacquiao.

Packy really gives Arum 80% of his money?

Squirming at it's finest. They own you with factual evidence, evidence you requested I might add, and instead of admitting you were wrong, you squirm. Funny.

some poor-minded people just can't understand the business side of boxing. there's just some matchup that promoters will not try to put up because it's not profitable as simple as that or there are other matchups that can be made that will make more sense as far as business is concerned. a fighter may have no problem fighting another fighter but the promoters won't bite it. it is what it is but some people call it ducking lol.

He never went out of his way but he did fight slick fighters. So what is the argument here?
what slick fighter has pacquiao faced?

Did I say something that was innacurate?

Sasakul. I would say Sasakul is slicker than anybody Floyd has faced.
