Wasn't Hopkins ranked above Jones in the IBF rankings when they fought? Hopkins was No. 1 in the rankings if i'm not mistaken.
Jones had less fights than Hopkins at that point too.
Both were young and inexperienced, it's just an excuse so that Hopkins fans can claim he has never lost.

Roy Jones UD win over Bernard Hopkins in 93 when a lot of people state Hopkins wasnt at his best yet? or if Hopkins wins the upcoming bout where Jones is clearly shot to pieces and at his absolute worst. and who will go down as the best fighter?

I still think RJjr is still going to beat Bhop.
His last fight with green is suspect,I think he took a dive or seemed drugged to me.or Green was too heavy for RJjr.
I hope he will fight Bhop the way he toyed with Lacy.
Then some of us will return to the church of Jones and worship him again.

Why is everybody thinking that Hopkins is going to beat Jones easily??

Roy showed against Lacy that he is still one of the fastest fighters in the LW division(agreed, hes not nearly as fast as he once was) and though he`s never been that sound fundementaly, hes still a skilled and tricky fighter who is not gonna come at Hopkins the way Pavlik did.

He took a shot from a cruiserweight before he really got started and got knocked cold. Thats happened to him before... Hopkins is not gonna hit him as hard as Green did. So in my eyes it is a pretty close fight, and though i still believe Hopkins is gonna win, i dont think its gonna be a walkover and i would not be that surprised if Jones pulls the upset..
