It would depend on the numbers. If Pac v Clottey did 700-800K and Floyd v Mosley did 1.5 mil i think it's safe to say Floyd would come into negotations as the shot caller.

Cotto is a by far a bigger draw than Marquez. Cotto-Pacquiao outsold Numero Uno, Pacquiao fans used that as a reason as to why Pacquiao is a bigger draw than Floyd. Well guess what? now the shoe is in the other foot and Pacquiao is fighting the lesser known opponent and Mayweather will def capitalize on that. It's all business. Arum did it to Floyd, now Floyd will do it to Arum.

Yeah, Arum's so greedy, that's why I agree on Floyd leaving him. Arum cares more about money than Pac or Floyd.

mayweather is the one with the universal reputation of ducking, cherry picking fights & protecting his undefeated record.

the onus is on fraudulent jr. to fight pacquiao. not the other way around.

We all know about Floyd's arrogance. And why Numero Uno sold 1M PPV was because it had a 5month promotional period and most of the people want to see an undefeated boxer finally get a taste of defeat.

FMJ like Pac also possess charisma. No matter how hated Floyd is people watches his fights.

But yes we both agree that a 50-50 split is fair enough. We also know that Pac would not accept anything less than 50% because he deserve it more than Floyd does.

Pac's accomplishments already surpassed Floyd's and even DLH's.
In order to be considered the best in the sport Floyd needs to fight Pac after Shane. Pac does not need Floyd to be considered the best in this era, Floyd needs Pac.

If Floyd only has the guts to fight the top guys in his division years ago it's a no brainer that he is the best. But he retired prematurely to avoid the top guys. Pac was only second before FMJ retired, but Pac proved that he deserve the #1 spot by fighting the guy Floyd Jr. ducked on national TV (ESPN Brian Kenny interview with Floyd Jr.).

I see what you are saying but first off, Floyd retired and the
spot was given to Pac in Floyd's absence. It almost went to
Cotto if he didn't lose to Margarito. On top of that, Floyd is a
top fighter and Mosley is the #1 WW champ and Floyd and Mosley
are fighting each other. The winner of that fight, Pac has to fight
because if Pac doesn't, trust, he will not be considered the best
no matter how much he accomplishes. Floyd and Shane are the
best fighters in the game right now.

I mean if pacquiao will lose $25-$40 in a 50-50 split with floyd, wont mayweather also lose $25-$40? Now if mayweather wants a bigger split, if there is no fight with pacquaio, wont he lose even more? I mean pacman will just go forward and fight mosley, like sugar going to forego a big payday with pacquiao. Then pacman will fight valero, bradley, maybe cotto for the 8th division title. last time i checked pac is p4p 1# consensually. he is already considered the best. ring ****zine, owned by fraud jr.'s promoter has named him fighter of the year 3rd time(tied with ali & evander for the most), fighter of the decade both by ring & bwaa who also named him fighter of the year. so by all accounts & whose opinion matter pac is already considered the best.

as for the terms, why does pac have to follow fraud jr.'s terms? why doesnt fraud jr. fight pacquiao under the same rules, regulation, & requirement that his sport's governing body abide by?

you know the same rules, regulations, & requirements he has followed in all 40 of his victories. why doesnt he just do that?

Floyd is on his way to topping Pac by fighting Mosley and
if Floyd wins he then becomes the #1 WW champ AGAIN.
