That Barrera, coming off wins over Naz and Morales II is a lot better of a win then Chavez, who was coming off good wins himself, but also lost to Sweet Pea and Frankie Randall. Chavez was clearly entering his last phase of his career, while Barrera was still in the best years of his career.

DLH's win over Chavez is better then Pacquiao's win over Morales III and Barrera II, but I'm not sure if I would rank it over Pacquiao's win over Morales. Pacquiao gets major props for avenging that defeat. Granted I think Morales didn't have as much energy as the first fight, Pacquiao improved his right a little and got the left in their easier.

DLH's win in the rematch didn't mean much, but neither did Barrera II (which was a joke to be honest, especially considering Barrera had just lost to Marquez) or Morales III (who lost to Raheem)

mab was ranked in the top ten and erik was at the top of his division when pac fought him

oscar wins over the great chavez were won at the tailed end of chavez long career.

      its not even comparable.
The same MAB who lost to Junior Jones twice and who got ranked so high just for beating Hamed??????

      the same morales who
Before he fought Pacquiao had 3 wars with MAB, Got boxed the **** out of by Zahir Raheem ????

I am just giving you counter arguments.

reason why I said that is because I've seen you repeately bring up that Pac beat up on past their prime boxers in MAB and EM. To say that shows me that you didn't follow the 126-130 divisions during that time.
how about you break it down then instead trolling the thread.
if not please leave the thread while boxing fans are chatting

mab was able to win against another highly regarded opponent in Erik Morales after his beat down at the hands of pac.

Erik beat pac the first time and the second match it was looking like a carbon copy of the first but erik got worn out. people will say that erik got old but i give pac credit because he force him to get old with the pace and his agression

and the "reyes gloves" (according pac fans)

oscar wins over chavez like i said earlier was at the tail end of his great career. chavez last solid performance before he met oscar was the rematch with randall. and he should have lost if it was not for that bs wbc rule on cuts and injuries. that was in 1994 and his first fight with oscar was in 1996.

chavez was no longer the same fighter he once was he no longer had head movement on the inside and was just taking shots to get on the inside.

Morales was also weight drain in the rematch WARP..you know..
they basically cook the man dry...he look like a help wanted kid...
            in the rematch..

him having to make 130 or 128 again after fighting Raheem at lightweight killed him... he went into the rematch damn near close to how de la hoya went into the pacquiao fight

Barrera did not train properly for the first pac fight, he only sparred about 40 rounds for the fight, partly because the boxing commission was testing him for a surgery he had years ago, then when they said he could fight, his training camp in big bear was on fire, thus making him lose even more training time, and Morales was weight drained and didn't belong at 130 anymore when he lost to Pac. He asked Pac to make the fight at 135, but they didn't take it, because they wanted EM to drain himself.

Chavez was washed up at the time he fought De La Hoya.

Barrera was pretty much in his prime.

                Morales was a diminished fighter.

Pacquiao on the strength of the Barrera win.

Those are the counter arguments but that still does not mean that they were not better wins at the time the random blood test ducker beat them than when the oscar beat Chavez.

As far as the junior jones losses go; mab got spanked in the first fight but he arguably won the second fight.

your not a boxing fan...because boxing fans don't try to change boxing history to fit their agenda. To say that barrera was past it (you have mentioned this in other threads) when pac beat him in the first fight is just comical.
