A Pacquiao-Clottey is still better than a NO Pacquiao-Mayweather anytime. But it will eventually lead to that with all these hype by Fall of this year.

I don't think there was anyone else left to fight. Mosley and Berto were out of the question at the time. What I see happening is Floyd winning a UD over Mosley and Pac fighting Mosley after that. If Mosley doesn't get old over night, I think he will give Pac a hell of a fight but still lose by decision at the end. I think the Pac Mayweather fight will still be a big one after that but not as big as it was this time around. I think Pac will lose stock after he fights Mosley. He needs to skip Mosley and go strait after Mayweather, but if he continues to refuse random testing, that fight will never happen. Floyd I doubt will drop the random testing because I feel he believes more than ever that Pac is on something because he refused the 14 day cut off which was ridiculous.

Isn't Clottey one of the most avoided fighters in the WW division???

Nobody looks good against Clottey! That's the challenge for Pac here.

Clottey is a very tough fighter, with great shell defense, a solid chin, the size advantage and a hard head (butt).

This will be a great fight IMO !

Just as ridiculous is why didn't Floyd agree to the 24-day cutoff ??!

There is no official and consensus medical proof that shows there's a difference between a 24 day and a 14 day cutoff! So you have to look at it from both sides.

Remember this whole request came from the Floyd commission and it's totally unprecedented! No other fighter in the history of the sport has ever had to undergo this, so how can you expect anyone to comply unconditionally to such demands???

Pac has every right to reject it, because it's not a commission rule, it's part of the negotiations!

If Floyd thinks he's the boss, well so does Pac.

Remember people, even Floyd himself degraded Mosley with his comment

"Mosley, the one with 5 losses !!!", and now you want the world

to give him props for fighting a guy he himself downgraded?!

            Hello !!!

              it's pretty obvious.

IF pacquiao thinks that his win over clottey would secure his congressional seat this election.he's wrong.

For me it's a waste of time.
Clottey, like it or not, is not a draw.
If this fight doesnt get more than a million, pacquiao will again get bashed by weathers.
Floyd-Shane would at least get above 1.5 million dollar buys.or even 2.
and that's for sure.it has its ingredients for a mega-bout.

              But pacquiao-clottey?
it barely has ****es on it.
and it pretty much sound like an excuse.
with pac looking bad. whom they've said gone 2-0 against mayweather outside the ring, in which i also agree, has the best option.

and it should be to stay at rest.
              allow his body to heal.
and leave the 1.2 million buys of cotto.

there is a huge probability that pac will again have a hard beating against clottey.but i like him at 9.
I agree good points. He should of fought Tim Bradley instead it would of been a great style macthup instead off watching Pac Clottey.

Pac is trying to unify the welterweight division so Clottey is the best option. The other welters were not available so Clottey is the right choice.

GTFO and go watch MMA if you don't like the Pac-Clottey fight.

To me it's a waste of time and that's why it's one of the first HBO PPVs in a long time that I won't get. I realize that it could be a good fight but I still think Clottey has no chance in winning. To me Clottey is closer to a gate keeper than a world champion. Grill me all you want but despite Clottey being a solid fighter he just is not exciting or great at any aspect in boxing.

I think Clottey deserves a shot at Pac just like Pac got a shot at Barrera that profelled Pac to stardom. Clottey is an elite fighter that was not given a chance to become a star. This is Clottey's chance to prove that he is one of the best. A hungry, bigger and stronger fighter like Clottey pose a real danger for Pac. If only the popular ones will be fighting each other then those who are not well known won't be given a chance. Clottey deserves a big payday and I call on all boxing fans to support this fight.
