most of the people that buy mayweather fights myself included is to see him lose.

Damn, I'm really trying to respect Marquez, but he really needs to stop crying about Pacquiao and worry on clearing the lightweight division.

Pac would seriously hurt him at 140+ anyway.

            1. Fight was on Mexican Independence Day, not national Money Making Day, but Mexican Independence Day.

            2. Look at the crowd that actually took the time and money to make it out to Vegas.
hispanics in the usa are the biggest ppv buyers period!

it was marquez fan's who filled the seats in the arena. mayweather has a very small following in that regards. nonetheless mayweather was the reason they did a mill. i love JMM but he should be mad at his promoters for thinking he had any shot of getting anything close to 50/50. pac's fight still did a lot better ppv wise and in the arena. i think pac would do a lot of damage to jmm at these higher weights where he is just naturally the bigger stronger faster guy. he isn't afraid he just fought cotto and now choosing a big top welterweight over a small and ageing but very good lightweight,

riiight... and how did marquez look when he got floored 4 times (shouldve been 6)

the thing is, it was a given that marquez would outbox pac, especially at the time, but pac still kept it close (points wise) when he's supposed to be the brawler. pac won both fights (by a hair but still won).

"A lot of fighters want to fight me, but I have to take a look at all of the options and choose the best one that makes the most boxing sense and economic sense." -- That's what Pacquiao is doing you ****** idiot!
