EDIT: ***Let me clarify one thing. Seems that Jack D Ripper just couldn't hold back his idiotic impulses. My mom doesn't know a DAMN thing about boxing or Mayweather and Pacquio even are. So if that isn't unbiased enough for you, then I don't know what to tell you**
I know I'm about to catch a lot of heat from the Pac Stans/ Floyd haters, but I wanted to get an unbiased opinion on this whole situation, and there was no better person to ask than my mother. So I called her up and broke down the whole situation to her. So here is what I broke down for her:
1. Mayweather/Pacquiao - biggest fight out there; both stand to make about 40 million dollars that night.
2. Mayweather camp is su****ious of Pacquiao's rise in weight classes and domination of bigger fighters.
3. Mayweather requested that they both undergo Olympic style blood testing that is NOT required by the commission.
4. Pacquiao's camp has been making a big fuss about the whole drug testing issue.
5. Pacquiao's camp has been making contradictory statements, such as "we'll take any test in the world" "5 day window is good" "pacquiao is superstitious" etc, etc, etc..
6. Ariza claimed that Pacquiao doesn't know what he's taking.
7. Pacquiao was willing to take a test after the press conference, 30 days before the fight, and after the fight.
8. Pacquiao's final offer was a 24 day window.
9. Pacquiao appears to have officially rejected Mayweather's 14 day window offer and accepted another fight, thus throwing away 40 million dollars.
After explaining all of that to her, I asked her how she thought that made Pacquiao look. Her response was "guilty as hell!" She went on to explain how anyone with nothing to hide would stick out their arm and say "here, take the blood".
Anyway, the point of this thread was not to say, "see, Pacquiao is guilty because my mom said so". I just want to know how many of you have asked completely unbiased people about their take on this whole situation. I believe Teddy Atlas is right and that your average person who has no emotional attachment to either fighter is going to be really su****ious of Pacquiao.
So, have any of you asked non-fans what they thought about the whole situation? If so, what were their responses?
Oh, and don't waste your time with the mom insults or "you're a newbie" nonsense. Either share your experiences or don't bother replying.
