If the lawsuit progresses, Pac will have opened himself up to further inquiry on the subject of steroids and HGH because the defendants will get a chance to demand his medical records and take Pac's testimony on the subjects raised in the lawsuit. If the remarks in question are judged to be opinions, as opposed to statements of fact, they cannot form the basis of a defamation suit, as anyone is entitled to their opinion in the United States.

You are 100% wrong... The court will not order the test just to give evidence to the defendants... Their evidence is their problem... not the court's nor Pac's...

I understand the whole defamation thing pissed of pacs team, but how is winning a case going to help pac clear his name? that should be his goal more than anything. he can kill 3 birds with one stone. 1.take and pass the tests 2.make more money than he has ever made 3. be pound for pound best boxer in the world.

So you mean to raise doubt in the absence of evidence? That would mean "hearsay" and circumstantial evidence? How much is enough doubt BTW. You got to convince more than half? whole jury? 75% of jury? And you think that would fly? The best possible scenario on this case is an out of court settlement. The lawyers on both sides will eat them up on fees, unless the Pacman's lawyers agreed on a maximum fees and a precentage of the award. I am sure that both side's lawyers will stretch this case to milk them out. But if you are thinking this case has no merit, you are wrong. Just in this boxingscene forum alone, bloggers are still and constantly accusing Pacman as a cheat and roids/peds user. There more internet websites, newspapers and other media that carries discussion of this fiasco. These are materal and valid evidences against the case.

Lawyers can do whatever to raise doubt that is their job being that this is a cival case they have to raise more doubt then in a criminal case but still they need to be really sure you are guilty. The case willl cost a ton he going into litigation with 5 people a bunch of who me are rich and are fully capable of making this case go on and on.

Also on the downside if Manny loses he will most likely have to pay all the legal fees, since all the other will counter sue for dragging them into court with no good reason (in their opinion).

None of the stuff posted or talked about in online forums is valid evidence this is like 3rd or forth party hearsay, the only evidence they have related directly to the people involved and direct witnesses.

I know a decent ammount about the law for a regular person but I have not gone to law school and I sure as hell ain't passed the Bar but knowing what I know they do not have much of a case because they have to prove certain things were known facts to them and not opinions which is not exactly easy to do. It is easy to drag someone into court but it is pretty hard to win, but anythign can happean once you go to court.

Much as already been said about the situation regarding blood testing in this fight. I would like to know how some of you feel about Pacquiao's conditioning trainer Ariza's comments regarding Pac being on something that is not steroids. I mean, Pac's people can say all they want about it not being steroids, but there is proof from his conditioner that he is definitely on something. And Pac himself doesn't know what it is.

These people's statement are product of mayweathers and GBP accusation and will be use in court by team pac as how much the damage caused him. If he will not clear his name in court he will lose more just like what happened to Tigerwood.
