WTF? What? I just read that Arum and Pac said no tests within 30 days of he fight. He has been saying that that for the last two days. He didn't say anything about the day of the fight. There is a big difference between 30 days and the "day of the fight"

That is totally different from what Pac is saying here. They could agree to not have tests taken on the day of the fight, but still have random tests taken within 30 days of the fight.

I used to be a drug counselor and my clients were court-ordered into treatment after drug convictions. We did random drug tests on the clients. My clients would have loved to have been told that a drug test would only be conducted 30 days before they completed the program. That way, they could wait until after their 30-day drug test and then start using because they woudn't get caught. That is the purpose of the random tests here.
pac is willing to be tested anytime, not just the actual day before the fight. he is also willing to be tested immediately after the fight.

imho, arum is just posturing, asking for a 30-day window. in the end, it's pacquiao who will decide on the issue. he has spoken. let's see what happens next.

Wow. I never saw this, actually. This seems reasonable. He still agrees to the random testing, just not on the day of the fight, but still immediately after the fight. That is perfectly reasonable, and Team Mayweather should accept that proposition.

MANILA - Pound-for-pound kingpin Manny Pacquiao believes that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is scared of him.

The seven-time world champion said the rigorous drug testing demands made by Mayweather's camp are just an excuse by the American to avoid their bout.

He stressed that he is willing to undertake any blood test to clear allegations regarding steroid use. However, he added that the test should not be made on the day of the fight because it will weaken him.
Top Rank boss Bob Arum said the scheduled March 13 fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather has been called off to protect his Filipino ward.

"I will not allow Manny to be made like a fool and pushed around by Mayweather," he said. "We don't trust them anymore. Mayweather never had any intention to fight Pacquiao and he's looking for a way out and to smear Manny's image as somebody who takes drugs."

Pacquiao's translated direct quotes (thanks, Splackavellie)

                  Pac says:

"Let's require all even bloodtest, but not on the day of the fight itself, it will weaken you."

"He's just making excuses and strategies to get me mad so i'll be distracted on the fight"

"I don't have any problems fighting him, if he's on it then let's fight but if he's a little scared then he needs to man up"

"He (PBF) got a lot of reasons, he got a lot of demands, the fight is not yet signed, but now he's scared."
Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather's adviser, told FanHouse on Tuesday, "Freddie Roach is full of s**t."

"They're scrambling and they're boxed in and they know it," Ellerbe added.

"It's our understanding that the [United States Anti-Doping Agency] will not be drawing blood 24 hours before the fight, so there shouldn't be a problem. They're probably saying something along the lines that Floyd Mayweather is trying to get out of the fight," said Ellerbe. "Well, if he feels that this is Floyd's way trying to get out of the fight, then all Manny Pacquiao has to do is agree to the testing."

Yea, That was funny....Pacqauio just put his fans mouth in it, First it was he was willing to do blood test a day before the fight then it was 48 hours, Then 24 hours again not nothing the man wanted 24 days and he wouldnt have offered 24 days if they didnt caught him on 24/7 camera giving blood 24 days before the Hatton fight, He would have sticked to the 30 days cut off date and claim the drawing of blood weaken him.
