roach has said a long time ago that no blood should be taken to close to the fight cause it will affect his fighter mentally. that has been their stand all along. yet floyd's camp insisted on such ludicrous demands.
olympic style testing is excessive. correct me if im wrong, but olympians (especially boxers) have many tests cause they fight more than once during the games. manny and floyd are gonna fight once.
this is a ***** move. plain and simple.
Here is the excerpt:
But Tygart said the 30-day window would still allow an athlete plenty of time to dope with illegal substances not detectable by urine testing.
“That kind of window is totally unacceptable,?Tygart said. “It would provide a huge loophole for a cheater to step through and get away with cheating.?br />
And no, the after fight test wouldn't catch things like EPO which stays in the blood for a short time, but whose effects are felt by the athlete for much longer.

Now I understand that there should be compromise with this issue, and i completely understand if Pac(or his promoter) don't want to just bend over so easily to Mayweather's demands, but IMHO there should be no problem with this if there is nothing to hide. I thought that this was part of the contract from the start, and regardless of speculation if Mayweather feels that Pac will have an unfair advantage on fight night and Pac knows that he's clean then who cares about a little blood from your arm. On fight night both fighters will be giving blood in a less enjoyable way.

We don't so take the test prove that you're clean and that you won ur past fights fair.
if you flip it around, id side with floyd. if roach started baseless rumors than floyd is juicing, and floyd agreed to undergo unnecessary testing with the exception of drawing blood too close to the fight but is willing to give right after it, then what floyd wants is justified. and manny and his team are being *******. unfortunately, that's not the case.

id hate it if manny bends over and agreed on such terms. he has been portrayed unfairly here by floyd's camp. they have suggested that he may be cheating even before this whole testing fiasco.
if it was up to me, id say take the ****** tests and fight, but i still think manny's camp has a legit reason why they won't undergo the tests.Last edited by aether; 12-24-2009, 01:03 AM.
