As long as both fighter take the same type tests, administered the same way at the same time, what is the problem it causes no disadvantage to one over the other. I don't see why Pacquiao should have a problem its a pint for a pint.

man, if Floyd demands 50 times blood tests or 100 times, you mean Pac just agree because both of them tested the same thing? Basically what you mean is, if Floyd Sr. is crazy Pac should follow too because it just okey for Floyd to become crazy? a test either before and after the fight is more than enough but since one disagree on before the fight then after the fight is okey as long as the quality of the test are the same to determine fighters if they are with the illegal substance in the last 24hrs.

There is no way Manny has EVER tried to back out of taking tests for PED's !!

The only reason to press Manny and subject him to random blood tests up to the day of the fight in which more blood that a few tablespoons will be taken is a VILE move to get under his skin....

MANILA, Philippines – Seven-time world champion Manny Pacquiao has merely laughed off the drug testing issue being raised by Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s saying that the former pound-for-pound king is just trying to excuse himself from the fight.

“Marami lang siyang dahilan, marami siyang dinedemand. Siguro wala pa ‘yong fight, takot na,” said Pacquiao.

The Filipino champion, who recently won the World Boxing Organization welterweight title from Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto, said Mayweather maybe getting nervous with the idea of trading punches with him.

Thus, American boxer came out with a statement demanding an Olympic-type of dope testing.

“Sa akin walang problema kung gusto niyang lumaban. Fight kaming dalawa... pero kung medyo natakot siya -- palakasin muna niya loob niya,” said Pacquiao.

Pacquiao made it clear he has no qualm in undergoing tests. What he’s opposed against is having him to give blood so near the March 13 fight date.

“Require natin lahat pati blood test... pero ‘wag naman doon sa day of the fight, manghihina ka naman noon,” he said.

The Filipino boxing star added that the Mayweather camp may also be using the issue to just to distract him.

“Gu****wa lang siya ng paraan, strategy niya para ****lit ako... para ma-distract ako sa concentration sa fight,” said the reigning pound-for-pound king.

I am discussed with Oscar De La Hoya !! I loved his fights , I loved his freshness he brought to the sport,, his charisma but the way he picks someone to win over the other is "FAKE",,,, and he bears a GRUDGE against the man who at least "ONCE" held him in high regard and that was Pac. Why the fuss with this "bloodtesting" stuff? Does this goes to show that Pacquiao has a good chance or even high percentage of beating him? Isn't it that his bigger or a better boxer than him? Does this show that he's scared, afraid or is there any term for this? Does Manny's accomplishments really bothers him or in a sense acknowledges it? Just pondering... I didn't say that neither of the two are clean but it shows that FM is showing he's really bothered of Pacquiao's status.. I would like to think that it's just another mindgame of his' but a lot different since his style is to downgrade his opponents and boast abouts his boxing superiority.. Just my plain dumb basic understanding about boxing..

The point is...its still an even fight, both have a test before and after and that should end all controversy. However, in my opinion the before the fight test obviously is most important to determine a fair playing field.

I still have to wonder why Pacquiao's camp is so sensative of not having blood drawn a month before the fight. I could see the week, but maybe they should negotiate 2 weeks into the fight.

Cat & Mouse...Even when they say the Urine is enough why not subject to the blood tests with certain rules, but random, because putting the fixed dates gives the wrong impression.

So Pac has refused random drug test. The issue isn't even that he doesn't want to take a test 24 hours before the fight it's that he doesn't want them to be random. Seems a little strange to me, as I've said before I never thought Pac was cheating or believed the **** that comes out of Sr. mouth, but Pac's team's actions alone have put doubts in my head.

Furthermore, the current methods related to detecting Hgh in blood samples are only useful for about 48 hours after injection; after which the tests reliability drops dramatically.

Therefore from a medical or scientific perspective, Floyd Mayweather is supported in his conclusion that to adequately test for banned substances, blood must be drawn randomly.

Scheduled sampling and cut-off dates serve only to provide necessary information for unfair manipulation of the system.
