And to the people making a big del about Williams landing more and throwing more:
Williams threw 611 more punches than Martinez but only landed 46 more punches than he did. This extra effort by Williams amounted to a whopping connect percentage of 7.5%
Williams threw 185 more power punches than Martinez and landed 23 more than Martinez. This equates to a connect percentage of 12.4%.
I know that being more active is usually a good thing but it seems like there was a lot of inefficient going on for Williams while Martinez was accurate and effective with punches. Either way you look at it, 119-110 is absurd.Last edited by mathed; 12-07-2009, 09:02 AM.

115-113...pw aggressiveness created the fight....what if paul wasnt the busier fighter?? the fight wouldve been boring ass ****...yea he was getting his head knocked back but it made no affect, he continued to come foward....martinez was shock 2.....
119-110 was bull****....and it happens in boxing so much that i dont know if it will ever go away....anyways besides that 119-110 that fight was classic and deserves a rematch...i would pay to watch the rematch.....

I saw the fight again last night & rescored it,I saw the fight mostly like Lederman did, except for rounds 8 & 11!!I thought the Punisher jab was landing too freely in round 8 to give it to Martinez & I think Martinez answered everything the Punisher offered in round 11!!7-5 on rounds for the Punisher!!
