    hmm

None were as good as the first. The first fight is arguable the greatest fight of all time...as in EVER. That's how highly regarded it is. When you are in a fight like that you get recognition that sometimes one cannot get just by being a skilled fighter like Floyd.

The fight was exciting and therein lies its meaningfulness.

Gatti should have been stopped in the 9th of the first round.

All you guys saying it was meaningless may have a diff song to sing if Gatti beats Mayweather. The first fight was the best of course, the 2nd was good but Gatti moved the whole fight and never got tired or traded with Ward except at the end of that 3rd round where he got hurt after he knocked Ward down- but he didn't want to trade after that and just outhustled Ward and stayed out of reach. The 3rd was injuries to both fighters- Gatti hurt his hand, and Ward had double, blurred vision. It was close because of the knockdown, and Gatti was certainly not fighting 1 handed- he did that in like 1 or 2 rounds only, then with the adrenaline flowing and everything he used the right hand and probably barely felt it till the fight was over- and Ward just didn't have enough in the tank down the stretch to do much, even though Gatti wasn't moving well and was trading, probably the double vision had Ward tripping a little.

Let's see how Floyd does against Arturo, before we write that trilogy off as meaningless.

Another thing to note that nobody mentions, part of McGirt's plan for the 2nd fight was to hold Ward when they got inside. Gatti clinched every time he was either tired or inside down the stretch. A slightly-Ruiz tactic, but of course Gatti throws and lands alot of shots so it went mostly unnoticed. But the clinching probably won him the fight, or at least made it alot easier down the stretch, particularly in the 9th and 10th. Gatti was hurt in both rounds, esp with about 30 secs to go in the 10th but Gatti smartly stayed away and clinched at the right times.
