Freddy Roach didnt want Joe Cortez to ref the Cotto-Pac fight because both are Puerto Rican heritage. Floyd is black and so my guess Kenny Bayless probably won't be asked to referee because he is black too.

Bayless is terrific but i'd give this one to Smoger. Bayless has had a lot of the recent big fights. Also, in a fight of that magnitude whe can't have a bad stoppage, and Smoger is known to give a fighter every chance, not saying that Bayless is quick to end it but i think yall understand.
