I agree, martinez has more skills, but overcoming pwill's height, reach advantage is tough, plus he throws alot of punches.

quintana schooled him and then got caught cold........quintana has a history of being vulnerable early.........got dropped by joel julio first round......even jesse feliciano dropped him early i just read......
wright has no legs anymore, anyone who can keep him off balance beats him
margarito has 0 skill........
and like i said williams is a physical freak....enough of a physical presence to be hard for almost anyone...

Martinez is just plain better at this sport of ours.
I had Martinez winning 115-113 it was just the size, will and activity that made it a barnburner. Williams has no shortage of skill but Martinez has bucket loads.

In the ring is the only way to settle these things....all the fighters can do is fight...they did...Paul won...both men get respect

Martinez was robbed blind in the US again.

Martinez won a close fight. Hopefully there is a rematch. At this point, I don't think anyone is afraid of Paul.

Martinez's last two fights are a perfect example of why non-American fighters would rather stay at home than attempt to make a breakthrough in the U.S. He arguably beat both Cintron and Williams yet comes away with a draw and a loss, and some Americans have the nerve to rant about how corrupt boxing is in Europe.

Williams lost clearly, and Martinez was robbed..
Martinez had better footwork, landed the harder punches and hurt Williams a darn site more than Williams hurt him.. Martinez even scored the cleaner KD in the 1st, and then spent the rest of the fight making Williams miss while countering with accurate and hurtful punches.. His distancing and timing were perfect, and Williams spent rounds 2,3 & 4 eating leather & punching air.. Nothing wrong with Williams's chin though, and in fairness, he did catch Martinez with some very good single shots which Sergio took just as well.. He was also the victim of a head clash in the 3rd, causing a cut on the eye lid which the cornermen done a terrific job with, but at the same time it kind of made Williams panick a little, and become a bit ragged, which suited Martinez down to the ground.. Definitely a wrong choice of style there i feel..
Don't get me wrong it was a brilliant fight, and had me bouncing all around the room, but for Paul to be described as one of the most feared fighters in the world, is totally laughable.. He's good, but he's not in the same league as McCallum, Hearns, Kalambay, Jackson, Duran & Leonard i'm afraid..
If I was him, i'd have something decent to eat and go straight up to LHWT, or he'll get destroyed prety soon.. In fact someone like Miguel Cotto or PBF could probably move up and do it in the not too distant future.. From what i've seen, his title is there for the taking, & unless he decides to start using his footwork a bit more, he'll lose by a KO, because it appears that's the only way you're allowed to beat him.. To take so many punches from a clearly much smaller man, was quite concerning to say the least..
I own a bar, and out of 30 people, with at least 15 of us who have boxed b4 (mainly Irish) only one person thought that Williams had won it.. And guess what? He's from Alabama lol.. No, I have'nt banned him, but typical **** biased scoring i'm afraid..
