I hear what dome of you are saying that 8 weeks is enough.. But he's up against a fighter (love him or hate him) with one of the best defenses ever, I would think he'd need longer to prepare not just hard training, but prepare for mayweather

Don't worry, if Freddie and Manny think they are not yet ready to fight in March, they will just have a pseudo training camp and then probably postpone the fight for at least a couple of months because of a rib injury... Now, that sounds familiar. I think I have heard that plot before.

I'm almost 100% positive that Roach will be departing for the Philippines very soon after the Khan/Salita match probably late December. He will want EVERYTHING to be ready with no distractions in Baguio and in the Wild Card when they return.

why are ya'll still saying that he needs rest?

I'm sure that Pac thought about all that before, but the election thing is the reason he wants to fight in March in not May right?

therefore, he must believe that he will have enough time to prepare properly.

He is always in great physical condition, so getting prepared for the BIGGEST fight of his life should not be a problem. for real, thats how I see it.

Well, Floyd is also going up against a fighter with one of the best offenses ever. But since Floyd is scared of Manny, he wants some leverage and that is rushing Manny to train. But it's ok, still the same result either way.

you dudes make yourselves look so bad. and I don't get it

nobody "rushed" Manny into the March 13 date. May wouldn't work because he is running for office (that he probably wont win).

It's Bob Arum's machinations. Pacquiao initially was going to put hold the fight until the fall for the elections. He must given Pacquiao a supposed ultimatum.

I agree with Roach that Pac would need 12 weeks to prepare. He needs his usual 8 weeks for the conditioning but he'd need an extra month to get the strategy for Floyd perfect.

It doesn't mean he'd have to have a back breaking regimen for 3 months. The hardcore stuff would be done towards the final stretch prior to the usual tapering off a week before the fight, but he must enter the ring knowing exactly what he has to do to beat Floyd.

Pac is taking a big risk taking this fight on March. He can't afford to lose because it might negatively affect the VOTES. There's ***in politics for yah, but I guess it's an added motivation for him to win.

I don't know if he will win because he will not be fully heal after the cotto fight and this is the right time for floyd to accept, it will be an advantage for floyd
