Although RIng magazine is the bible of boxing they often have rankings that make you scratch your head and question the importance of the RIng Belt. How can Cotto be higher than fellow PR fighter Juan Manuel Lopez for 2009? How can Pavlik still be middlweight champ when he ducked P Williams with a staph infection than missed doctor appointments, couldnt fight in December but since he feared getting stripped now MUST fight in December.

Don't agree with the list for one I'd rank Haye higher than many on that list.

Only position I agree with is Pacquiao at number 1 as he's had many fights this year and blown them away. Mayweather (though I'm a fan of his) doesn't deserve to be at no. 2 this year it's an insult to other fighters as far as I'm concerned.

Donaire at #6? Who has he actually fought aside from Darchinyan to deserve that spot?

It really isnt and Pavlik is ranked way too high if they are basing it on 2009. Pavlik did very little in 2009.

Hopkins hadn't even fought this year when the list was made.

There are so many things wrong with this list it is tough to know where to start. I guess we all have a favorite fighter or two - writers included - they must have rated their favorites really high. No way objective - Hatton, Margarito, there are some real bad rankings there.

he fought at jr bantamweight against a guy that weighed in at jr featherweight officially and was a jr. lightweight or lightweight by fight night and still won.

Some of the names higher than Haye are puzzling, they even have Froch ahead of him.
