He did beat Glen Johnson. Props to him and he was very impressive. Unfortunately, Johnson just wasn't very good at that point - as evidenced by several losses afterward. Some were controversial, some were clear losses. It's not what you try to make it out to be.

Trinidad was his best win IMO. Not as good as Jones' best win but a great win, nevertheless.

The jury is still out on Pavlik. Aside from beating Taylor (once, and barely the second time), his only other notable win came against a clubfighter.

Tarver is Hopkins' second best win IMO. And a damn good one.

Winky was 35, fat and in over his head at 170. Come on.

De La Hoya? The one coming off a loss to Sturm? The former lightweight turned welter? Umm...ok.

John David Jackson? Keith Holmes? William Joppy? And you're complaining about Reggie Johnson?

Fact is Reggie Johnson was past his best and fought like it against Jones.
Past his best is one thing. Jones was past his best when he beat Ruiz. That doesn't matter when you're still very good.

Honestly, I don't know how that decision was split.

William Guthrie was hyped but in truth he just wasn't what he was made out to be. Not sure if he should have had a belt either which I felt was unjustly stripped off of Dariusz Michalczewski. Guthrie got to beat the very average Darrin Allen for the belt and was then brutally knocked out by a past it Reggie Johnson.

Reggie didn't look very good in this title defense:

I have youtube blocked at work. Was that his defense against Klementsen?

              William Joppy...and you're

You said right there controversial losses. Johnson was as tough and durable as he was when he fought Jones.

Jones best win was prolly Toney, we know how that story goes. Tito was more dangerous to a 30+ year old Hopkins than a weight drain Toney. Tito just annihilated William Joppy. Toney was in no better condition than DLH who fought Pacquaio if the truth be told.

Pavlik is still the undisputed Champ and his wins over Taylor legitimize him as as an excellent win, certainly just as credible as a past prime Reggie J.

Wink did not look fat to me. Ive heard Jones say that Wink walks about at 175. How old was Hopkins when he fought Wink? precisely.

Sturm fight just showed that DLH was overlooking Sturm and did not train properly, did he look that soft when he fought Hopkins? no, did he hold his own in the fight? yes. DLH clearly struggled with Sturm because he did not take him seriously.

Well they are just solid wins like the Reggie fight.

Okay to be fair to Reggie he was injured but he wasn't amazing against Will Taylor either.

Winky was not robbed in that fight. Vargas won by a point or 2.
