i dont care what you say about johnson, even after jones, if you take jones out of his resume he arguably never lost a fight
if jones was picking on de la hoya, tito trinidad etc,
IF HE HAD HOPKINS RESUME WOULD YOU RANK HIM HIGHER?
doubtful, that'd look very bad on someone that was as strong and fast as roy jones in his prime

He arguably never lost? He lost to Tarver clearly!!
Jones did not beat a prime Johnson anyway, he beat a past prime Johnson.

Originally posted by IMDAZED View PostJohnson may have been past it but he was coming off an extremely impressive, shocking and chilling KO of William Guthrie - the man many on message boards (like this one) had annointed as the person who would beat Roy. Guthrie was undefeatedm trained by Roy Sr, was a tall, lanky southpaw with great pop in both hands and was being hyped by HBO as the man to challenge Jones. Johnson put his lights out with a beautiful, perfect right hook. He still had plenty...plenty left.
