This one is a hard fight to figure out. I mean Hopkins.........is well Hopkins. But Chad could be the one to take the mantle. This fight makes my mouth water. I hope they can make it happen.

He beat both of those guys convincingly though and didn't fight rematches with them and he's now fighting Sergio Martinez who is 31 or 32, I can't remember. And why are you bringing Paul Williams into this thread? This is about Dawson and Hopkins. You're butt hurt because Hopkins paralyzed your god with that famous liver shot.

As for a Dawson-Hopkins fight, yeah I want to see it. But will I blame Hopkins if he goes in another direction? No. I guarantee you this fight tonight with Hopkins and Ornales will draw more at the gate than Chad's fight with Glen Johnson. Another interesting piece of info I got was that the Dawson-Hopkins fight broke the record for the lowest viewed WCB event in the history of HBO past Cotto-Gomez. Lol. Dawson don't draw flies to ****, and if Hopkins decides to fight him, every poster on this board should kiss his feet.

To say that Dawson doesn't draw is a bit ridiculous, given his popularity. Dawson is very popular with boxing fans and recently the media. The problem is Dawson is fighting the wrong fights and taking forever to make fights happen. If Chad Dawson vs Glen Johnson II happened earlier the fight would of had a larger viewing audience and more people in attendance. Tarver vs Dawson II didn't attract a lot of fans because it was a meaningless fight. Get Dawson in a meaningful fight ASAP (not 6 months), the crowds would be larger. I'm thinking either Dawson vs Pascal or Dawson vs Cloud.

Hopkins wants legacy, not another 26-27 year old. He's going to go after David Haye. If that cannot happen, then Chad Dawson might get the opportunity.

Dawson needs to man the **** up and fight Tavoris Cloud, someone under the age of 40. Try to unify and make your own greatness. Hopkins is 45 years old, his legacy is cemented. He doesn't need Chad "14 people showed up to my last fight" Dawson.
