In the opinion of retired boxing great Barry McGuigan, Ricky Hatton should avoid a possible clash with Juan Manuel Marquez in 2010. He says Hatton should stay away from the ring and avoid taking any further punishment. He doesn't think Hatton has anything more to prove and his legacy is already set in stone as fars his career accomplishments. [details]

**** Barry then, Marquez looked **** and allmost lost too Casyamyor (who was ancient) and Diaz who in all honesty is not great. Hatton no matter what people think on this site is a good fighter see his destroying off Malanaggi (who owned Diaz, yeahyeah triangle theories whatever)
All he has done is lost too a great fighter and an ATG beast of a fighter who would have knocked out Cotto in 6 if he didn't run, yet he constantly gets **** on.
Add this to the fact that Marquez barely functions at 135 let alone 140 and is Old himself now, it leads me to believe Hatton will maul him badly especially if this is in the UK

JMM is on his way out, so he might as well give someone that has a few years left a shot.

hatton can win this fight in the UK with the right ref and judges. jmm don't punch as hard as pac, he isn't as fast and strong as pac or floyd, and jmm won't be able to throw combos if hatton is wrestling him.
