and boxing is an art. so i don't know why anyone would think a boxer wouldn't have the same chance as any other art in a fight. it comes down to the individual.

damn unrealistic man, in mma they try and fight as a slow pace to show as if they are having a chess match, but when they start throwin you can see they are about as good as the guys in the streets only stronger(their stamina sucks also)
go watch an episode of TUF season 10, these guys tire before the first half of the first round

It's apparent that's the only bit of MMA you've ever encountered. MT kick are more effective than punching period but the thing about mma is you can punch and kick dumb ass.
Why act as if boxing isn't a major part of MMA.
"Mixed" Martial Arts dummy
If being one dimensional is better than being multi dimensional then why is it RJJ won't fight Anderson Silva unless it's in a one dimensional match up ?
Because even he knows the defensive stance in boxing will get you slammed on your ****in head.
Next time you bash MMA Pro's look up Anderson Silva then tell me which boxer anywhere near his weight class can beat him in a one on one.
After than Youtube Anderson Silva training with Freddy Roach

It all depends on the situation ...if its one on one and fair ...i love boxing so i like to aim for the point of the chin
I boxed as a schoolboy and have never done any mma...but surely it wouldn't hurt to know a few ground skills??

Do you think Vitali or his brother can stop Brock from slamming them on their heads ??? Honestly
BTW I'm all about boxing first it's my first love but now that I realize how affective other disciplines are I'm definitely going to learn other combat arts.
I generally go to Sherdog to discuss MMA though. Post this thread their and see what kind of responses you get.
Boxing alone will get you put on your ass unless you get that one punch k.o there are no if ands or buts about it.
Look at it like ***: you can try to keep your girljust by hitting it conventionally but when I come hit it from the back, on the wall, upside down, etc. the ***** is leaving with me...lol !!!
