Are you ****ers doctors or do you just play one on the net?

Taylor didn't take sustained beatings over a few rounds. His knockouts were a product of 1 round or 1 shot. It's not like he's been losing to Jeff Lacy and ****.

He's not a ****ing reckless coke addict or dude that goes overboard eating during a layoff either. Iran Barkley and others from decades past went on to win titles after getting knocked out and after taking beatings. Leave JT alone until he loses to a bum.

You speak the truth. There was a sequence where Ward and Kessler were tied up. It was at this point once they broke up the clinch, Ward landed a mean straight right that would have knocked out a lot of guys. Ward was throwing sharp all night too. Kessler has a hell of a chin.

You are probably right. But it's kind of sad to see him getting broken down at the end of these fights.

Heh, I'm pretty sure Showtime knows how to protect their ass.

if anyone were to stop taylor from continuing, it should be himself or his team, not showtime.

All I'm saying is if the worst happens, and a fighter dies in that ring. I'm blaming showtime not only the doctors.

Many of us questioned why Taylor was in the tourney in the first place. He was ko'd in his previous bout and should not have gotten a title shot or be put into a major tournament. There are several fighters that should have gotten the call but nooo.

I definitely understand your sentiment. If I was a close friend or family member of Taylor, I would beg him to hang them up at this point. However, I have to disagree with blaming Showtime.
Should we blame the Athletic Commission? The Promoters? Andre Ward? Should everyone have to go to court over the issue?
The fact is that fighters fight. They get hurt, they get knocked out, they keep fighting. Sometimes they get brain damage, sometimes they die. Ultimately it is a fighters decision to get in the ring. Jermain Taylor, and Jermain Taylor alone decides whether or not he laces up his gloves to fight Ward. If he chooses to fight, he has to live with that decision.
That said, I agree that he shouldnt be fighting anymore. The man has a good legacy and lots of money. No need to keep getting beat up.

Jermain is a grown man, and it's his choice to keep fighting, a good one or not.

Even if Jermain were to pull that off, he'd still take damage.
The damage, not a possible loss, is what worries many.
