Anyone get the feeling like this is loss wont affect Cotto mentally

Like it did the Margarito fight? There was just a different feel to it. I dont know how to explain it. Even after the fight ended, Cotto stuck around and was smiling like, "yeah, I got my ass kicked". He obliged Merchant with an interview. I know he lost both fights brutally, but I can't put my finger on it. There was something DIFFERENT.

I'm not gonna mention it, ain't trying to argue. Go back to my "Much respect to Cotto thread", there is a clue.

Yo, that's so ****ing weird, I feel the exact same way. Even as a spectator, this loss didn't hurt as much as the Margarito one.

And Cotto, mentally seems upbeat and what not. He doesn't seem disappointed, he seems eager to come back and prove himself. I remember after the Margarito fight he seemed almost disinterested, and now he seems like he can't wait to come back and prove himself. Weird how that works sometimes, but I'm not complaining.

No shame in losing to an elite.

The difference is he wasnt undefeated this time and he lost to the best guy in the sport. Either way, it doesnt have to effect him mentally if it effected him physicaly. Thats the bigger worry. 2 whoopins that close, sanwhiched between a hard Clottey fight, it could physicaly have changed him. Not only that but most thought he was already physicaly changed before the Pac fight. He looked slower and all

Is it something to do with tribal tattoos and whatnot?

Seems like he was happiest after the fight. Kinda weird for sure.
Cause during training he was more serious than a rock staring into the ocean.
