Pac vs Cotto did 2millie according to this guy...

Rey Colón of the ´El Vocero´ of Puerto Rico reported that the welterweight mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto generated approximately 2 million pay-per-view buys generating at least $120 million. No word on what Pacquiao´s cut will be but Cotto was mentioned to be making at least $10 million minimum

Do they count orders from other countries as well? I was listening to a radio show yesterday and they had a caller from the Philippines or some other country in Asia who ordered the PPV.

Higher quality product will always command a higher price.

Like Kush, I don't have a problem paying for high quality product.

Pacquiao and even Cotto are always in entertaining, high quality matchups.

I mean if Fire Power is $20 more than Numero Uno....I see no reason why it wouldn't generate more PPV $

common fighters shouldn't count.. you knock out your opponent cold like what Pac did to Hatton and you'll surely get rewarded in your next fights. It's Pacmania right now after a brutal follow-up win against Cotto.

People would pay for Pac due to his performance in his last 2 fights. Those were exciting man!

Floyd-Cotto would have definitely sold less based on the snoozefest he did with JMM.. Only Hatton made him more exciting. Hatton wasn't undefeated anymore when he fought Pac yet they sold almost the same.

ESPN had earlier reported Pac at 13 million and Cotto at 7 million so if your figures are true based on the percentages, Pac is looking at damn near 20 million bucks.

Of course their earnings get taxed the **** out of, and they have to pay everyone and their brother's cousins aunt out of their purse as well as the commissions and assorted people, but they still made the loot on this one.

I know, but Arum should reconsider that the economy now sucks, what he should do is atleast lower it to ATLEAST 40$.

the lesser..the more people will get involved in it :good:.
