This is great news, but the article seems a bit confusing. The title says 1.6 million, and then the article says something different:

I think it will match Marquez-Mayweather and maybe inch a bit past their numbers,” this TV insider said.

“From there, it’s a heavy push to blow past the PPV all time record which is about 2.3 million for the Oscar de la Hoya-Mayweather fight. I do not know if a fight between a guy from the Philippines and a guy from Puerto Rico whose last name is not Trinidad can beat Floyd-Oscar.

^^^^^^^ I'll go with this one, makes a lot of sense and fair enough for a fighter who doesn't deserve a fight with Pacquiao.

If Floyd would have fought Cotto that fight would have done way more then what the coward Pacquiao did for fighting a shot Cotto.

same goes for this fight it took floyd vs marquez a full two weeks to get the numbers counted and pac vs cotto numbers are counted in one day

get real this did around 500,000-600,000 of course we will never know because bob will not release the numbers
Actually Hatton/Pac did 900k. As far as people saying Cotto isn't a draw why did his bout with Margarito do 500k? Aside from Floyd's JMM bout neither Pac or Floyd did that much without the name DLH/Hatton in the first name slot.

Yea... Pac did fight a shot Cotto, but Floyd wouldn't do it at all.

& that's without the CHEAP MOVIE TICKET GIMMICK that pink floyd & greedy boy promotions tried to pull in order to get more ppv buys.

Can you imagine if Fire Power did the movie theater option?

I wonder how much ppv hits were from the movie theaters than actual ppv?
