Shawn my friend, cong**** on another great win!! Well, obviously for the first time in your Pro career I didn't introduce you in the ring, although I have no idea who they used, I do hope he did a good job. You know I will continue to root for you regardless.

As of now, I have no idea what is up with Prizefight Boxing, since they have not said a word to me since the Maryland show. Kinda strange, since Russ took Brian and I to the airport as we were on the same flight the next morning, Brian and I had breakfast together and nothing was said about going with another Announcer. Neither Russ nor Brian or even Nate have returned calls or texts since, but I am not surprised, since they know they didn't pay me for the show on Beale St. 2 nights before Russ and I flew to Maryland. I am very disappointed that after all these years they don't have the balls to at least tell me what's up, since just not speaking to me is rather childish and "forgetting" to pay me for an event is definitely not professional. I guess I expected more from Prizefight, since I thought we were all friends, but obviously we are not - oh well - you live, you learn. I do wish you the best with them, but as for myself, I am moving on with different Promoters and have already been booked for several gigs. In fact I have already worked an MMA show in Tunica at Harrahs! I was very impressed with the entire production and the DVD of the event looks awesome! Great fights.

I am sure that one way or another Prizefight will pay me for the event, either by showing some class and doing the right thing for a guy who has always went way above and beyond the duties of a Ring Announcer for the shows. Or we can take it up in court, either way, business is business, and it won't kill Russ to pay me instead of the slot machines! I will let you know if they do the right thing.

      Much Love and Respect,
      J.D.

Shawn, cong**** on the win homey. I didnt get to catch you because I thought the site you gave us was free. I know $5 aint alot but I didnt turn get in until 10 so I was scared that I was going to pay for it and you be gone. Also, thinks for showing love to our site.

Ive made a couple of threads on here the last few days about one thing that stuck out alot to me in the Pac-Cotto fight was that Pac started hooking him off the jab like crazy. Cotto did real well with the jab in the 1st round and some have said that if he had stuck with the jab then he couldve won but I argue that he did stick with it. Its just that people didnt notice that Pac took it away from him with that hook. He had to do it over 10x and I could see Cotto looking defeated after that. Did you notice that and was Pac working on that in camp with you or were you too fast for Pac to do that too?

I didnt see it but someone said he gave a shoutout to boxing scene at the weighin. He responds back fast and his answers are super on point like he doesnt have to think about anything or research anything. The only thing I could think of where it might not be him is if it was someone who was very close to him or someone on prizefight who knows alot about him and wanted us to pay for that card but it truly seems like its him with his answers. Someone at the weighin couldve told him to shout us out but I think it was legit. He also was supposed to give someone on here tickets to the fight and meet them. IDK if that happened but he told me that he was going to do that. I think its him foreal

I am a ring announcer as well and I think I remember you from a Guerrero show in Maryland. Aren't you the guy who announced the wrong winner on Showtime in the bout with Coleman and De La Rosa? That looked bad for all ring announcers. My heart went out to you. I hope I never make that mistake, especially on national TV. I am surprised that promoter kept using after that gaff. You must have had a good relationship.

That was a rough one, I will never forget it and it also happened to be the first time I had ever seen a Maryland scorecard. The scorekeeper had drawn a line from the decision towards the fighters names, which were listed one above the other, on the scorecard that was folded into 3 sections, it appeared that it underlined the name of the one fighter - the wrong one, I should have completely unfolded the 3rd and last portion of the scorecard, because then I saw the line went between both names and then made a little downward pointing arrow to the other fighter. Since then, the scorekeeper just circles the name of the winner like everyone else does. Still, it was the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to me lol. That is what I get for being in a rush on live t.v. - you live and learn. Fortunately, after working more shows up there since that night, everything has been smooth. In fact this last time, after the show the Commissioner of Boxing in Maryland walked up and told Brian from Prizefight that I was the best Ring Announcer he had worked with in 16 years on the job. That was pretty cool of him to say, he didn't have to do such a thing, but I appreciated it very much.
