Who wants to call Cotto a quitter now?

He shouldve just gone down and saved himself the beating.

He's an all time great fighter, and there's no shame in losing to him. Cotto came out in good shape and prepared. Manny was just too much. I know Miguel will be back. Much respect to both. WAR COTTO!!!!
All Cotto did for the last 4 rounds was run. That running was worse than De La Joto against Tito, lmao. And that's what you call fighting to the bitter end, hehe.
Running is another word for quitting!

I bet'd you'd run worse. And piss your pants in the process.
I'd bet 10 grand on it.
At least Cotto fought the best.
Big deal he lost. A ton of guys do, but they had the balls to try.

I have respect for Cotto and I think he's a good fighter, but by no means would I call what he did against Pacquiao "fighting til the bitter end". No, he didn't take a knee and quit, or call it quits in the corner, but he had no intention of even trying to win that fight through the last third of the fight. Few if any flurries to try to even catch Manny with a "lucky" power shot that could possibly score a knockdown, and basically going from corner to corner, throwing a jab or two and moving away again. Even in the rare instances where he DID connect with a significant power punch that stunned Manny, he still moved away rather than attempting to capitalize it. He was still pretty light on his feet and was moving swiftly, so it's not like he was gassed and incapable of mounting any sort of attack.
I'm not criticizing him because I know the situation was dire and being in the ring against Pacman is not exactly easy... But I do think he could/should have attempted to do more to pull an unlikely victory from the jaws of defeat, and had he made that attempt (regardless of its success) I would give him props for his "great courage and heart" that some people are talking about.

And no, I don't think it's possible to run any harder than Cotto did last Saturday, lol. He should've just pulled a Forrest Griffin after getting ko'd by Silva, he literally ran out the f**kin' stadium, lol

When PAC was gesturing to the ref to f**kin' step in, wtf does that tell you?

I'd bet 20 grand you'd get ko'ed in 1.
Look, Pac won, and did great as I thought he would, but Cotto was trying to survive after getting whacked.
It's extremely difficult to summon up the courage to throw caution to the wind when you're getting hit by **** whatever you do.
You try to set again, get away for a minute, and figure it out.
You may never know how much it sucks to try to fight when you can't see what's hitting you.
You try to use the ring, and use plan b, or plan c or d just to get back in the fight.
Sometimes it works, others it doesn't.
My point is Cotto fought Margs, Clottey, Mosley, and Pac, and didn't crumble in 1.
Sure he got hit and sure he danced away, but honestly he did the best he could.
