I can understand that the manny fans are thrilled to death for his win. But who did he beat up a guy who was never the same after the Margarito fight. A guy who had in his contract that he couldn't gain no more then 5 pounds after the weigh in. A guy who has a lot of technical flaws that his trainer never fixed. That is not Manny's fault but don't go thinking you won anything from a fighter who was on top of his game.Miguel was beaten already and took a massive beating the process against Margarito. Miguel Cotto is not the best at 147. So what did Manny do, he took away the strength of a guy who is just a shell of himself. Once again Manny hasn't beaten any fighter that has not been beating soundly already. Now let him step in the ring with Mayweather Jr and show how dominant he is. Beat a fighter that hasn't lost. Periks speaks out in defense of pac by ephasizing Pac's previous wins were legitimate ones, but in reality, he is a harddened Floyd fan. He speaks out just to certify openly that Pac is a deserving next opponent of Floyd. Just like Floyd giving much accolades to JMM before their mock fights so by beating JMM impressively would earn respect from the eyes of public. But those who followed their fight knows very well that Floyd just enticed JMM to fight him as inflated, then fooled him into 144lbs catchweight and buy outs his sure winning for few hundred thousand dollars just to be allowed on his weight at 147lbs! Then let JMM the agressor, far from his best field as counter-punching artist, while him fought in his counter-punching best against this almost lame duck JMM! In return however, JMM evidently just went up to met Floyd then he cashed out his fat paycheck, then returned to Lightweight to campaign for next fight as seems nothing big deal in his loss to Floyd!

IMHO, it should be Floyd should prove himself as not ducking credible opponents in the likes of Cotto, Mosley and Pac.. and since the public fan clamor for Pac-Mayweather as next mega fight, Floyd should not shrug off this collective voice. But I think the way Floyd witnessed how Pac brutalized Cotto, he will go in his usual way of ducking these credible opponents. He would demand an unnaturally bigger share of the pie to the extent he knows the Pac team would not accept this to save his ass and effectively preserving his "0" loss record.

Pac will surely demand a little bit high purse against Floyd just in case, because he deserves it as the current P4P king and he proves it as a potential force to reckon in Welterweight division. Floyd knows the rules pretty well because once upon a time he was also a P4P king and he demanded much higher purse to make fight possible agaisnt his opponents, but this was before and now the P4P king is Pac! He should know how to vow with the new P4P king sometimes and accept a bit lesser offer, just like what his opponents did during his heydays! And besides, a liitle difference is no big deal since this is also his ticket to redeem the title he once held and enjoys, and Pac who have this unquestioned leverage to demand price is just asking for a little bit higher vis-a-vis Floyd can get, in respect to his current stature and I think this is not hard to understand.

But just like what i said, Floyd might be cowering to his own shell, and might consider retirement again to free him from challenges especially from Pac, and go to his usual way of pot shooting his mouth against to should be his potential opponent like Pac from the distance. Or if he shouldn't retire, then he will continue fishing for his smaller prey while Pac would continue preying for bigger opponent and maybe SSM will be the next in line.

lol you must be just plain delusional to think that pbf is scared of pac or even to say pac will demolish floyd lol. Do you seriously buy into to the hype. And no I am not a pbf fan and not hating on pac I have never like pbf but that doesn't mean i can't deny or hate on his skills which will give manny lots of problems. I mean be smart reflect on what JMM did to pac. He put an ass whopping on him by outboxing him and countering him and outlanding him. Imagine a way faster, defensive, stronger, version (pbf).

In regards i will give manny a chance but his chances are slim manny so far hasn't proved to me he can box. Sure he can brawl and outpower his opponents hatton, cotto, dlh but when it comes to a tactical fight he is way lost. And as you know pbf doesn't brawl he is technical. Like I said the last time he tried to box JMM gave him a boxing lesson twice and outlanded him. pbf will either murder pac or seriously make him look like an amateur leaving him all bruised up landing a very small percentage of his punches in route to an easy win.

Well, I for one thought Cotto had a shot because of his size, power
and decent skill set but Pacquiao whupped his ass plain and simple
no excuses here. I think Floyd/Pac should and will definitely happen.
That fight would be epic because both are phenomenal fighters, in great
shape and conditioned. I don't know man, I can't even say who would
win that one. I know Floyd has the skills to pull it off but Pacquiao
just can't be denied.
