Dawson doesn't really take risks, neither does Floyd that is why Floyd said Dawson is the best fighter in the world besides him; he sees a little bit of himself in Dawson. I think Dawson could be great but when the going gets tough he may fail because of not pushing himself- he does enough to win but nothing more.
