    1999 P4P Rankings & 2009 P4P Rankings

Anyway, just for the heck of it, here’s THE RING’s current pound-for-pound top 10:
    1. Manny Pacquiao
    2. Floyd Mayweather
    3. Shane Mosley
    4. Bernard Hopkins
    5. Juan Manuel Marquez
    6. Nonito Donaire
    7. Miguel Cotto
    8. Celestino Caballero
    9. Israel Vazquez
    10. Rafael Marquez

    And here’s THE RING’s pound-for-pound top 10 for October of 1999:
    1. Roy Jones
    2. Floyd Mayweather
    3. Felix Trinidad
    4. Oscar De La Hoya
    5. Shane Mosley
    6. Mark Johnson
    7. Ricardo Lopez
    8. Erik Morales
    9. Bernard Hopkins
    10. Steve Johnston

How has Mayweather been able to stay P4P # 1 or #2 for over a decade if he hasnt fought anyone and his resume is weak?

he was #1 for well over 5 years...then remember he retired as the 154 lb & 147lb champ and the guy thats # 1 now only became p4P by default

he was number one for a little over two years, since he took the spot after Hopkins was short sticked by the judges in the Taylor fights.

Are you sure? Think about what you saying. I will ask if he didn't get it by default than how did he get the #1 spot?
