Then when you talk about PPV's everyone was saying that Floyd-JMM would bomb and would be lucky to do over 400,000. They talked non stop about how dumb Floyd was for taking that fight before the Pac fight because it will hurt him in negotiations and then he put up a huge number that shocked everyone. Dont act like these 2 fights are even. Theyre not. Everyone was dissing Floyd-JMM in terms of the fight itself & PPVs and calling it a joke fight while everyone has been hyping this fight as a super mega fight. Dont see it reaching 2, second Cotto vs Pac was always talked as a fight that would KILL Mayweather vs Marquze, that thinking only changed after the 1 Million PPV buys came out, now there is a actual question if it will. Never mind the fact that this very board claimed that the Mayweather/Marquez couldn't possibly do 700k ppv's and that it was nothing more than a glorified Tune-up fight. Post after post was created about how poorly PBF/JMM would perform and how the stadium would be empty however, the minute actual ppv numbers came in, you couldn't find a post about PPV's. PPV/theater post were avoided like 'the plague' and then the tune changed to 'who cares about PPV's'. Also, that happened to be around the time the new Mayweather 'ducking'/17 pound tactics were implemented as a diversion to draw attention away from the 'face full of pie' many detractors were dealt.
