Street, I'm sure that's not what you think. No one would buy Hatton vs. Mayweather and Mayweather didn't mean that either. Mayweather is known to lose it. He couldn't keep his compusure with Brian Kenny, Max, Larry Merchant but all of a sudden this is rare. Ain't it obvious that Mayweather is trying to land the winner of Cotto vs. Pacquiao?

Dominicano, what will happen if floyd does fight Hatton next, what will u do & think about him??I feel bad for Larry, cause he said he'd be through, but then he said he wouldn't!!But really if floyd fights Ricky & not an elite welterweight, what are u gonna do??

I'm not gonna buy the event, I won't support the event. Most people here on Boxingscene don't even know that B-Hop is my favorite boxer. I'm not supporting B-Hop vs. RJJ, Roy is done and people will again see that, so I'm not even on that. It's simple, we could all do that. Ofcourse, I wouldn't be defending him either.

what the **** is wrong with thinking you're the best, the whole point of being in a competative sport is to prove you are the best, and since he has yet to lose a fight it's completely understandable why he would think so. I wouldn't put my blood, sweat, and tears into a sport without the goal of being the best and if i felt i was the best in the world i'd say it loud and clear. Do I think Mayweather is the G.O.A.T.? Not really but i have no problem with him thinking that.

tbh, i dont think anyone should be surprised if he fights hatton again....his fighting only for money remember?.....****, id fight for only money too but i would'nt try to fool the people in beliving im the best without fighting the best if iwas him....lol

Are u gonna still support him??There are soooo many very good fighters at 147 right now,if floyd don't fight none, will that really be ok with u!!See.the Punisher is my fave fighter,if he didn't always try to fight the best,I'd be done with him!!

I can't say I'd be done with him because Mayweather is a rare boxer to come by. They don't get that complete but listen, I won't be defending him and rightfully so. I wouldn't buy a Mayweather vs. Hatton rematch, best believe that. It's weird for me to even discuss this because I don't see this happening.

I know what you mean. I think Ellerbe is the prime suspect in the creation of that belief, he must have massaged Mayweather's ego with strawberry scented oils. Floyd is an exceptional boxer, he has the potential to be one of the greatest, but like Paul Williams says "you gotta fight the best to be the best".
