So I guess Joe Louis doesn't deserve credit for beating Schmelling in the rematch just because it was a first round KO. He didn't even make 650k against Cotto while Williams got paid 1.5 mill or 2 mill to fight Winky. It's called realizing what your market value is worth and how much the other guy is in demand by the TV networks. Remember, this date does not belong to Top Rank. Goosen is the main promoter of it. Clottey lost out, and Martinez ate his bread.
