Haha!!! Got More Confirmation Cotto Could Indeed Be Doing Coke

Ok, before you Cotto guys jump down my throat, just know I'm also a Cotto fan...but I found this pretty funny.

I've been reading since late last year that Cotto's been seen doing Coke in night clubs in Puerto Rico and New York. Now of course, you have to take everything the media says with a grain of salt because we all know things get blown out of proportion. So last night a couple of friends of mine are debating Boxing and Cotto's name comes up. Now, my friend's Uncle who travels back and forth from NY to PR comes in the convo...now mind you, though he's Puerto Rican he's not an avid follower of the sport (at least not how he used to be). He steps in and tells us, "You know Cotto does Coke, right?". I start laughing at the idea, but then he looks at me and says, "I've seen it myself bro...it's no secret on the Island". Now at this time, my man is just denying it up and down while his Uncle is telling him in Spanish, "Why do I gotta lie about that? I saw the guy do it himself."

Are there any mainland Puerto Ricans here that can also confirm this?

The man likes to party I don't doubt he had a sniff here and there but it's not like he has a problem. I personally don't care and it's none of my business.

But to say a celeb won't or hasn't done drugs in public is naive. I go to several music industry parties here in the city (with another member of this forum actually) and trust me when I tell you we've seen some crazy **** that even if it leaves the club and goes up on the blogs, people still prob wouldn't believe it anyway. I never put it past anyone to just be them regardless of the media.

Now of course it's one thing dancing in a club and just doin an 8-ball of coke and it's another being at the right place at the right time and seeing what you're seeing...which has happened to me several times with a few athletes and musicians. They're people too.

Well I only believe of what people here say because he is seen all the time, in a club or just dinning, from what everyone here in the Island say wich probably know alot more than your uncle or buddy. Hes a cool dude who even takes pics if you ask him, my cousin sees him all the time & says hes cool & smiles back at people, not like the media see him like a stone faced boxer. Here in P.R. we know whats up, and believe me when I say rumors spread fast, this is the first time Ive heard something like this. Sounds like a bull**** rumor.

coke doesnt stay in your system for very long if your just an occasional user..so really its not a big deal..as long as he doesnt do it during training or a fight.... and just be glad its cotto and not sugar shane..cuz roids and coke together=an indestructable monster..

Hey, for what it's worth...I don't see Cotto losing his next fight regardless of if he does Coke or not. I wanted to see if people could confirm the story from similar situations, but seems people are denying it because it's Miguel Cotto (which is expected of course).

One thing I've learned with celebs, they have tendencies just like regular people do. The game to them is hiding it from the public, which isn't the easiest thing in the world to do.

Not for nothing though, but I wouldn't put it past any celeb to be doing weed or coke, they're common party drugs. I've heard of stories of Cotto liking to drink and what not...but what celebs don't? I've seen some of your favorite rappers do 8 Balls in the back of BB Kings (LOL you know who Im talking about Rav), but it is what it is. Celebs are regular people underneath the spotlights.
