Abraham vs Dirrell To Land in New York's MSG on 1/23?

During a recent interview, Arthur Abraham said that his upcoming bout with Andre Dirrell stands a good chance of landing at New York's Madison Square Garden on January 23. More than likely the fight will take place at the WaMu Theater located at the venue. The fight takes place in the second stage of the Super Six tournament. The press conference to officially announce the Super Six was held at WaMu. [details]

Interesting venue, for this fight to take place.

This is a interesting fight, Dirrell is very elusive, skillfull and fast, so I expect him to cause Abraham problems, but it's a big ask from him to win.

somehow i always tend to look at what these fighter's weights before they cut down to make weight. I know cotto walks around at 160 and ive heard clottey walks around at about 176 or higher. It makes me call into question how bigger fighters cut down weight so they can fight smaller fighters for an easier time...like paul williams (my opinion can change on this guy once i see him fight a guy like pavlik or martinez) or celestino caballero and ali funeka. Oh well if they can make weight i guess its fair play (sarcastically and pun intended).

I think if Dirrell runs less and fights more, sticks and moves like he SHOULD with his style, then i think he has a great chance of winning.

He'd also have a great chance of getting knocked out if he does that. so its up to him.

If he runs again, he can all but garuntee himself another loss, and his fans will leave him too

who cares how much weight the cut, they both have to make weight, the one dropping the most weight will probably be drained anyways,as long as hey make weight thats it.....and on this fight,if dirrell held and ran like a girl,he'll do more with abraham, just watch
