Just curious...How long you think margarito was "cheating"? One time thing?

I never seen anyones face get so battered like Cottos did against Margarito, it reminds of Billy Collins Jr./Resto. Cotto looked like someone ran over his face with a mack-truck. And Margarito in his past fights has landed more punches on other fighters and has never caused that much damage before.

My opinion is that there is no proof. And, until then I will say no he didn't. I finding hard to believe that Emanuel Steward who is vey knowledgable of the sport didn't notice anything. I find it hard to believe that Evangelista Cotto who is a boxing guy. And, a solid trainer didn't notice anything. So if they didn't think that he had illegal wraps then maybe just maybe he didn't have illegal wraps.

And, I just find interesting is that some people opinion is that he had in both Cintron fight. Which I say fine but he also fought Williams between those fights and in the William fight I didn't notice no plaster on Williams face.

But, then people say after Williams cuz he never showed power like that before. But, that is not true cuzz Margarito ripped a dude ear off. He KO'd Lewis like 4rds sooner than Mayorga did. He had Antonio Diaz all blodied. He has been the only one who has KO'd Martinez. So he has showed that type of power before.

That sucks, but cotto haters will probably say it was ketchup or from sparring. Their hate hate for cotto blinds them, same as some cotto fans are blind too. ME? I don't have any evidence, just using common sense.

ok then if you are using common sense then you should realize that the blood was from the fact that C****tillo creates pads during sparring and thats why there was blood on them and NOT from prior fights

how do I know this? because state athletic comissions confiscate the wraps after every fight at least they do in California and Nevada two states I cover fights at.

whether or not he cheated prior to the Mosley fight is hard to really gauge because as someone guestimated that he might have cheated probably after the Williams fight because of Margarito's KO streak they also failed to do their research

had they done their research they would have realized that only three welters to have gone the distance with Margarito

Williams- who has never been dropped or hurt in a fight
Clottey- had never been dropped or hurt in a fight up until Cotto
Danny Perez- who has never been stopped

since 1998 prior to the Mosley loss

thats over ten years and 20+ different fighters

so basing it on when Margarito's power might have increased IMO isn't a viable gauge because as I have shown he has consistently shown power at welterweight since 1998.

yeah he just couldnt hit either guy cause of there superior D. In the Williams fight he didnt really land very much but in the later rounds Williams was still swollen up pretty good. Clottey just took those shots on the gloves, probably why his hand got reinjured.

but not only do you call into question the trainers who let this pass but also do you now distrust NY Nev and NJ because those are all states where Margarito has fought at. Surely as they confiscate the wraps after fights someone would have noticed his wraps becoming hard or brick like

Nope, i aint not Maragrito fan. If people are going to assume he used them against Cotto we should assume he used them in every fight of his career. But Cotto fans don't like that because that would mean other boxers beat Margarito while using plaster and Cotto couldn't.

he broke someone's cheak bone in sparring & if he was going to use plaster for what was supposed to be a "stay active" fight.. why wouldn't he use it in the biggest fight of his life?
I don't think he only used it once.
