Last Wednesday, Pavlik's trainer Jack Loew revealed that his fighter was still suffering from a staph infection in his left hand, and as a result he was unable to move forward with his scheduled fight with Williams on December 5. The fight was previously scheduled for October 3 and later postponed to December, also due to the staph infection on Pavlik's left hand. [details]

It is true that Pavlik's hand was not infected at all when he pulled out of the fight. It apparently hadn't healed all the way from the operation. But why not give it about another week to announce you are pulling out of the fight and try to tough it out. I'm fucking sick of Pavlik already.
