Vivian Harris Interview: "I'll Fight Cotto for $50,000!"

harris showed how good he is by going to germany twice to fight urkal. i wonder how many others would have done that? i would love to see him fight cotto, but cotto has to give corley a rematch before that happens.

He went to Germany to fight Urkal (a fighter he had already beat) for $50.000 and turned down a Ricky Hatton fight for $750.000. Does that make sense? He was either scared of Ricky or he doesn't like money.

I've never seen Harris fight, but I would love to see him against Cotto on June 11th. My money is still on Cotto.

Why not put both of their belts on the line and make a unification match? Cotto wants to be big Unify. Nobody is doing that at 140.

While Cotto is strong, Vivian would smack Cotto around. It wouldnt be easy but it would be pulled off just because he isnt a public name doesnt mean he is good. He is strong powerful and will punish you with skill he wont stand their and trade with Cotto but he will counter punch him and probably hurt Cotto more so than Corely considering his height advantage over Cotto.

Harris definitely has the skill but the knock on him has always been that he is easily taken out of his gameplan. If Cotto presses the issue he could get Harris to trade with him. I wouldn't say Harris would smack Cotto around either because Cotto does have a very good defense. Harris jab will give Cotto problems but I think Cotto could get past it and punish Harris to the body and land some good lefthooks. He has also improved his righthand a great deal as well. This could be a very good matchup but I see Cotto doing enough to win a decision.

Harris would only command 50,000 to fight Cotto now; it would be a sacrifice. That's about his market value - if JMM can't get 50 K, maybe it's less...

I'd honestly like to see Harris fight Cotto. I think it would be a really good fight beacuse it might be Harris' last chance to ever make it big in boxing and we all know how good Cotto is.

I think it'd be pretty entertaining and meaningful.
