Comments Thread For: Shakur Stevenson fine with William Zepeda next, open to unification with Gervonta Davis
Shakur Stevenson is perfectly fine with facing his mandatory challenger next, but that?s not to say those plans couldn?t change if the right blockbuster opportunity came along.?

It's not going to be Zepeda next. He's bringing up Tank. Right now Tank can't even turn the kitchen light off because he has roach problems. I hate this side of boxing....
Smart man. Shakur needs to take the fight against Zepeda. All eyes will be on him. Call him whatever, but when he soundly beats Zepeda, perhaps he'll start to get the respect that he deserves. His stock will definitely rise. He also gets closer to the A Side against Tank. By daring to be great, his name will start to be mentioned with the greats in the division/sport.
This fvkcing boring bum already turned down a stank fight hence why Bronx2245 stop cheerleading for the fight
Shakira really using it as a negotiation tactic is hilarious. Turki, zepeda and Oscar don't give af
Shakur DIDN'T turn down a fight with GTD. Espinoza recently came out and cleared things up saying a contract was N-E-V-E-R sent! Stop with nonsense. Shakur has been one of the most consistent in calling out GTD while they keep coming up with excuses and no contract being sent, E-V-E-R!!
Nobody at 135 beats Shakur, especially not Zepeda. Shakur is gonna pick that boy apart.
There is no doubt inmy mind that Shakur is going to beat the dog shyte out of Zepeda. Shakur vs Valdez was a one side embarrassment that was in Shakur's favor. But all that goofy shyte he was doing in that fight he needs to grow up. Running around the ring laughing and playing with the crowd is only hurting his image. He clearly could have sat down on his punches and did severe damage to Valdez. If he gets this Zepeda fight then he needs to switch it up. It's now or never. He clearly has all the skills to stand right in front of him and "make him miss make him pay". All Zepeda has is a 'roc-em-soc-em robot' style. No footwork or head movement. If he completely dogs Zepeda then his profile will raise tremendously and he needs to cash in and go join the new PBCV/Top rank movement before it's to late!

Yes you're 100% correct there was a lot of confusion about getting that fight done but ultimately a contract wasn't sent and the fight didn't get done. But with recent events that just took place I can more than guarantee that he regrets signing with Matchroom. He signed with the belief that he was going to get two fights to raise his profile but ended up fighting an electrician on one weeks notice in Saudi on the under under under card. Now his second fight they already went back on their word and he's not getting the money he was promised. If Dazn doesn't pay for this fight and it goes to purse bid that could be a gift and a curse for him. They are going to low ball the shyte out of Shakur and probably make it a GBP fight but this is exactly what he needs. He needs to know his true worth. If he is as valuable as he thinks he is then someone will come in and pay 200 million dollars for the fight. If he's not a valuable commodity then Oscar is probably going to pay him 200 thousand. Good! No more 3 million dollar welfare checks from Top rank. Take your ass to PBC where they offer NO guarantees because you have to work to earn your money. If Shakur's manager doesn't pick up the phone to call Al Haymon so they can RAP-A-LOT then Shakur needs new representation. Period!! American boxers will you please leave the Russian / Saudi / British company alone please!
Shakur has been begging for a fight with Tank for a long time and, quite frankly, it is embarrassing. It is obvious that Tank does not want to fight him. Shakur's next fight will be with Zapeda and, once again, it will be a boring points decision. No, he is not going to beat anybody up because that is not his style. He does not open up and let his hands go with anyone half dangerous because he does not want to be countered.
For all the talk, name calling and bravado, we have seen the script play itself out a number of times so we know what to expect. I will not be paying for the fight but will be streaming it if I have nothing better to do on that day. Shakur is not a "must watch" show on my list.
He clearly has all the skills to stand right in front of him and "make him miss make him pay".
Exactly.
Not like he's been hiding them either, his opposition's knowledge of said skills & subsequent unwillingness to try stalking him has literally always been the precise reason his fights go like they do.
