I also miss the old gang as he called em. I will be interested in seeing if he still has it. His knowledge of the sport is impressive. I'm tuning in.

Lamps was always a little too excited and enamored with HBO house fighters. Yes, he did some great work, but was also a company shill. His recent statement that Tank Davis is a throwback fighter makes me believe he will say anything, as long as you are paying him.

Listening to Lampley call a fight, will be like watching Tyson fight.

Some favorites I enjoyed thru the years would be (in no particular order) Gil Clancy,
Roy Jones Jr, Larry Merchant, Lampley, Manny Steward, Al Bernstein et al. Ones I
didn't/don't like would be Mauro Ranallo, George Foreman, Bernardo Osuna.

If he's gonna say trash like jumanji Davis is comparable to Duran then he should stay retired.

Clancy was great. He was like right out of central casting for a crusty boxing trainer - the accent, the look, the no-BS straight talk.
Ranallo is the opposite. He should stick to pro wrestling and video game voice-overs. He's unbearable.
I thought Max Kellerman was doing good work when he was with HBO. I think ESPN would do well to get the hyperbolic Tessitore outta there and bring Max back in.
Bobby Czyz did well from the ex-fighter role. It's been a long time so I'm just going from memory here.
