He's at the bottom with Froch in terms of technique.

He boxed Taylor from a distance and outboxed him. The only other fighters to look like the better boxers with better technique against Taylor were Winky and Hopkins. Pavlik and Froch guys tried to win by out put. Abe is a good boxer, however he is either all defense, or all offense.

Far from destruction , it was a one punch KO with 10 seconds to go and he did hardly anything the whole fight , good defense and has power but I want to see more of Abe with the top guys before claiming he he something special , remember Taylor had been KOed 3 times in his last 4 ,,,, still not so sure about Abe .

winky wright has been on 2 ring ****zine foty candidates, actually uses skill to block, pressures and has a high workrate(unlike abraham, who is just a thick strong guy who puts his arms up and cant even block to the body, and also bitches to the ref every single time he gets hit in the body, and throws five punches a round).......

sorry bully i just hate abraham with a passion.....hed be nothing if he didnt have power....and yes i know he looked decently skilled vs taylor, but taylor looked the flatest he's ever looked.....this was not the taylor who tried to **** out wright and pavlik(first fight) or outfight hopkins or outbox forch and pavlik(second fight).......this was a taylor who tried his damn hardest but had his confidence in shambles.....

its not much of a surprise to me. Taylor always has lapses and gets clocked, and Abraham has the power to win rounds just with a few punches.

without his power, Abraham isnt that amazing. lets not forget that Raul Marquez broke two of his ribs and that he lost a fair share of rounds against guys like Elvin Ayala, Oral and LaJuan Simon.

his turtle shell guard is ok, but for the most part, theres no variation to it. he just puts it up and hopes for the best. people that know how to work around a generic guard and go to the body(in other words, not Taylor) can capitalize on this. especially because of how Abraham doesnt do anything for half of the round.

still, his power is massive, and he keeps it for pretty much the whole fight. that is the great equalizer, and he can even win rounds with it, because his few massive punches can do enough damage to win the round for him even when hes only fighting for a minute of it.

lets not go too far. I know I say this all the time, but Abraham got his ribs broken against Raul Marquez, and lost handfuls of rounds against Elvin Ayala, Oral and Lajuan Simon. his guard is good for his style, but its generic, and he doesnt do much with it other than just put it up there and hope for the best.

people that know how to work around a guard and go to the body can exploit that flaw, especially since Abraham only fights for a minute of each round.

damn I love that guys power punching though, his strength is no joke. he carries the power throughout the fight, and can even legitimately win rounds just off of his little flurries because his power causes so much damage.

his technical ability is getting a little too much praise, but hey, yall have some fun.
