Comments Thread For: Stephen Fulton Jnr repeats as winner over Brandon Figueroa, lifts featherweight belt

It was far from the barnburner of their first fight but Fulton earned the victory in a slower-paced fight

Don't know what happened to Fig. Too many tacos before the fight? He fought like a cheesy enchilada. Oh well, kudos to Fulton!

I'd be mad to lose my belt twice to the same dude in two different divisions

Figueroa is now 22-2, not 22-1. Looks ordinary at 126. Thank God that wasn't Espinoza he was in with tonight.

Stephen Fulton is a quality world level fighter. Yeah he got took out by Inoue who himself is a elite level talent so no shame in that but Fulton at 126 against the likes of Nick ball or Angelo Leo again in a rematch are good fights and he could definitely unify a division again

Part of me is happy to see Fulton win and another one of Inoue's former victims do well after a loss.
Another part of me is sad that if Fulton stays at 126 for a while there will be an Inoue vs Fulton II which isn't thaaaaaaat appetizing to be frank.

In fact I have a good/bad feeling that this version of Fulton will easily beat Leo again in a rematch if they fight and Fulton could possibly be the No. 1 guy in 126 by the time Inoue comes up to face Ball at Saudi.

Figueroa was already talking about The Monster before the fight. Lesson learned well. Don't look past the fighter in front of you.

I have a feeling that practically every beltholder that talked about how he'd win against Inoue at 126 seems to lose their belt.
Robeisy talked about it before losing to Espinoza.
Venado was talking about facing Inoue when he comes up but got upset by Leo.
Figueroa just recently got elevated to full time after Vargas decided to be on vacation and talked about Inoue...and of course, solidly loses to Fulton.

Wood simply vacated which got won by Ford which got defeated by Ball, and now he is claiming to be the A-side if an Inoue fight occurs at 126. I'm going to laugh and cry at the same time if Doheny somehow lands a lucky punch on Ball's face for an upset knockout next month...

Terrible fight. Hard to believe Figueroa was a world champion
