Leigh Wood is a fan favorite for good reasons.

Navarrete in the article headline was a click-baity move by the author.
A Wood v Navarrete fight is just smoke.
Probably not a good idea (apart from the money) for Wood anyway. Navarrete punches in bunches like a demon and will catch Wood bad.

I was just wondering what became of Wood.

I would totally be on board with this, though going straight for Nav after such a long time out may be suicidal for Leigh.

            Navarette vs Foster or Espinoza.
Easier fights to make since they are all with Top Rank.

Doubt Navarette is gonna happen, but I don't see why Wood vs Cacace can't. They are both European and promoted by Eddie and Frank, who ever since Turki they seem to have...put away their differences *cough* and seem to be willing to work together.

Wood is one of my favorite fighters , this guy always has excitement and drama in his fights. Him and Navarette would be a real treat for the fans. Come on Mr. Turki , make it happen bro !

He's got a big heart and pulled out quite a few sensational knockouts.

I don't know why he'd want to fight at super featherweight instead of going to lightweight or higher. Guys suffer to squeeze into the lowest weight they can weigh at.

The perceived advantage doesn't always work out.
