Gabe ran into Venado and Cabrera. At the time, I don't think his handlers thought those guys were as dangerous as they turned out to be. As I recall he was dropped and battered pretty good on both those fights.

Gabe doesn't have enough pop in his punches to keep the guys at the higher levels off of him. I wish him luck.

I wanna root for this guy so bad cuz he’s from my city Stockton ca. he has a sad story and upbringing to tell which he has. Top rank signed him as the youngest boxer to a contract. I rode with him and still do, but Gabe if you read this. My boy you turned hella people off with your ****y flamboyant arrogance! We still ride with you, but we need that humble “put the guns down” boxer that had us proud of having our young kids and sons (speaking for myself) following in your footsteps!
